Chapter Philanthropy and Service
Zeta Tau Alpha's National Philanthropy is breast cancer awareness and education. The Jacksonville, FL Alumnae Chapter participates in several programs with our national partners including the annual Crucial Catch game with the NFL's Jacksonville Jaguars and working with the American Cancer Society's Making Strides Walks. For more information on our national programs, please see the National Philanthropy page.
Locally, our chapter works to assist others in the community. Some of the organizations that we have been honored to support include:
- Field of Dreams
- The Women's Center of Jacksonville
- 26.2 with Donna - the National Marathon to End Breast Cancer
- Color A Smile
- Jacksonville Humane Society / No More Homeless Pets
- United Way
- Wreaths Across America
The ZTA Foundation champions many worthy programs and projects dedicated to improving the lives of women, and their communities. Locally, we have distributed 7 scholarships to women attending the University of North Florida over the past two years. ZTA also develops educational programs aimed at informing women and their communities about social issues such as alcohol awareness, mental health and sexual assault.
